Granola

rolled oats
sunflower seeds, unsalted
shredded coconut
flaxseed
hulled millet
raisins
2 cup water
brown sugar
molasses
salt
cinnamon
nutmeg
butter
1. Toast oats, sunflower seeds, and coconut in an oven, around 375 degrees fahrenheit.
2. Toast spices briefly in a saucepan, then add water and salt.  Bring that water to a boil and add brown sugar and molasses.  Use taste to determine the proper balance of salt, sugar, and spice.  Allow this mixture to simmer and reduce to the viscosity of syrup.
3. When oats have acquired a golden color, remove from oven and place in a large pot or bowl.
4. Add butter to syrup mixture and sternly stir.
5. Stir together oats, sunflower seeds, coconut, and syrup mixture until homogeneous.
5. Add flaxseed, millet, and raisins and stir.
